Well you can move the the block of text below Ubuntu’s entry to make Ubuntu the default choice. I haven’t tested this, as I don’t have Vista, and I had done this on a friend’s machine, who wanted to test how Ubuntu was, and is now hooked on to it
Hi Sathya,
actually i’ve been using edubuntu since the last 2yrs, Recently I got Vista preinstalled on my new laptop. I wanted a linux on it. Kubuntu was fine with the dual boot….but Edubuntu had some issues……..
I knew i could edit menu.lst…….but was a lil sceptic abt it…….after reading your post, i decided to try it out and lo..it worked.
Now i have Edubuntu as well as Vista.
Thanks.

Why would you want it to default to Vista? Wouldn’t you want Ubuntu to boot by default and have vista only if you choose it?
